Q: How old do I have to be to rent?

A: You must be 21 or older. Ages 21-24 are charged a young driver fee of $15/day.

Q: What is the security deposit?

A: The refundable security deposit will range from $0-$500 depending on a variety of risk factors including vehicle value, insurance deductibles, and payment type. Any additional amounts owed may be deducted from the security deposit at the end of the trip such as the cost of charging, tolls, additional mileage, etc.

Q: What type of payment do you accept?

A: We accept all major credit and debit cards with your name on it. No cash, check or pre-paid cards.

Q: What are the insurance requirements?

A: Your own full coverage (comprehensive and collision) insurance will cover you in a rental vehicle. We will verify your insurance prior to your rental. If you are uninsured, international, or have a liability only policy, you will need to upgrade your personal insurance policy to full coverage or purchase additional insurance products offered at the time of checkout to make sure that you and the rental vehicle are fully covered.

Q: What if I don't have insurance?

A: You can purchase insurance for your rental during the booking process. However, it is not available for all vehicles. Vehicles with values exceeding the threshold such as the Model X, Model S, Rivian and Lucid will require your own full coverage insurance policy to rent. This requirement will be denoted on Step 3 of the booking process.

Q: What is the cancellation/refund policy?

A: A full refund is issued for cancellations performed 72 hours or more before the rental start. Cancellations performed 24-72 hours before the rental start receive a full refund minus one-half of a rental day. Cancellations performed 24 hours or less before rental start receive a full refund minus one rental day. Q: How do I charge the car?

A: There are many ways to charge EVs!

Slow: At home you can use the cord provided to plug into a regular outlet to gain about 3-5 miles per hour of charge. Top-up 30% overnight
Faster: If you have a 240V outlet or a charging station where you're staying, let us know so we can provide the proper adapter. Full charge overnight
Fastest: Publicly available Tesla Superchargers (for Teslas) or DC fast chargers such as Electrify America, ChargePoint or EVgo (for non-Teslas). 25-45 minute full charge

As of right now, Teslas can only charge at Tesla stations and non-Tesla EVs can only charge at non-Tesla stations without special adapters (provided only upon request).

Q: How do I pay for charging?

A: When you charge at a Tesla Supercharger, the owner of the car (EVentures) is billed directly. Although you don't physically pay at the charging station, there is still a cost which will be added to your rental invoice at the end of your trip. Most Non-Tesla charging stations will take card payments at the dispensers at the time of charging. Some may require you to scan a code or download their app in order to pay.

Q: Do I need to bring the vehicle back charged?

A: You do not have to bring the vehicle back charged, but you will be responsible for the cost of refueling based on the battery level difference between pick up and drop off. We do NOT charge a convenience fee, so feel free to skip the wait and bring the car back at any battery level. Refueling costs will be based on market rates of publicly available DC fast chargers in the local area.
